Graduating from the California College of Ayurveda in 2008, I received my certification as an Ayurvedic Health Educator. This certification enables me to educate the community on the principles of Ayurveda and how to incorporate these fundamentals into daily life. I also had the great fortune to study again with Dr. Halpern, Founder of California College of Ayurveda, as an Ayurvedic Yoga Therapist one year later. I furthered by education in Ayurveda with Dr. Light Miller and Dr. Paul Dugliss, receiving a certification as an Ayurvedic Practitioner through New World Ayurveda in 2015. At present time, I have over 2,000 hours of theory and practice in Ayurveda and continue to expand on my learning in the field of Reiki and Marma Therapy. I have worked as a Pancha Karma Therapist at Blue Lotus Ayurveda in Asheville, with Vishnu Dass, The Art of Living/Shankara Ayurvedic Spa in Boone, Prama Institute in Marshall and The Sivananda Ashram in Bahamas. I have received training as an Ayurvedic/Pancha Karma Therapist in Abhyanga Massage, Nasya, and Shirodharas.
I graduated from the Asheville School of Massage and Therapy in 2010. As a massage therapist, I have received training in Myofascial, Cranial-Sacral, Swedish, Deep Tissue, Massage Cupping, Hot Stones and Trigger Point Therapy. I enjoy customizing the massage style to meet the needs of my clients. I have found massage therapy to be an integral part of healing and well being.
Intergrating all of these (per the request of the client) has proven to be highly effective and therapeutic and has helped greatly with muscle and joint pains, nervous system issues, headaches and sciatica just to name a few.
I have studied with David Crow and Dr. Light Miller, internationally known master herbalists, aromatherapists and Ayurvedic Scholars and learned the fundamentals of aromatherapy. This beautiful modality has become an essential part of my practice as has seen the benefits aromatherapy has to offer. I have my own line of aromatherapy blends, Sangita Ayurvedics.
